Video: Mike at the Value Voters Debate
"...if this country allows the presidency to become more about the pocketbook than it is about the principles, we no longer are pursuing a presidency, we're pursuing a plutocracy... and God help us if we allow that to happen. That's why tonight I come to you and simply ask you to give me your confidence, your vote, your support, your energy over these next few months because I do believe that we don't have too many seconds ticking, not only on my clock here, but on the clock in this Country whether we're going to save this great Republic. And I want to make it clear it's not about saving the Republican party, it is about saving this great Republic..."

Mike Huckabee Comments on the Presidential Address to the Nation on Iraq
The article below is from All American Patriots
September 13, 2007, Davenport, IA – Former Arkansas Governor and Presidential Candidate Mike Huckabee issued the following comment in response to President Bush's address to the nation: "I agree with the President and his decision to accept the recommendations of General Petraeus. During his speech, the President gave an honest assessment of the status of the war in Iraq : while the challenges remain formidable, the surge is working and there's been significant progress – particularly in Anbar province.
"The current policy of providing security and stability has to be carried out. We can't walk away and not honor those who are serving our country. If we leave now, it will show weakness, which would do irreparable damage to America 's reputation and ability to protect our national interests, as well as create chaos and massive suffering in the region.
"The war we are fighting in the Middle East is a theological war. It is not a traditional geo-political war; it is a war against Islamic fanatics who want to destroy us. It is a test of will and purpose. "
"The question is, do we have the will to fight the enemy and take the fight to them or will they prevail? For the sake of future generations of Americans, this is a war we must win. We must give our commanders and troops what they need to succeed."

Gotta love the meter
I have really enjoyed watching Frank Luntz on Hannity & Colmes with some real statistics on the debates. The video below shows the results of the exchange between Paul and Huckabee.
Huckabee is a Gentleman
I just read a post from The Everyday Republican that includes the following statement:
"Perhaps the most interesting encounter of the night was the first actual debate of these so-called 'debates' between Governor Mike Huckabee and Congressman Ron Paul. The issue of the Iraq War was raised and the two sparred back and forth with each other about the veracity of staying in Iraq. FOX actually let them debate - and it was refreshing. Ron Paul had a strong contingent in the audience, as did Huckabee, cheering and supporting their candidate - so to have the two face off was a sight to see. The best part though, at the commercial break, after the cameras were off, Huckabee went straight for Congressman Paul to shake his hand and he had a warm smile on his face. Huckabee is an honorable fellow."
I keep reading that Republicans don't have a chance in 2008 against Hillary. I just don't see how in the world the polls could show her to be so low and how anyone would want someone who flip-flops as much as the top-tier Democrats in office anyway...

I am for Mike
This blog is my attempt to draw as much attention as I can to the man I feel is the best candidate for President of our United States. I am definitely a computer geek, and I hope that others in my industry will take a close look at this great American!
